Cryptocurrency ATM operator Coinflip has announced support for Dogecoin on Twitter. From March 1, at 1,800 Coinflip ATMs in 45 US states, you can purchase a digital coin, which is actively promoted by Elon Musk. CEO Daniel Polotsky explained the support for the meme coin by the fact that it has recently attracted the attention of many celebrities, including Snoop Dogg, Gene Simmons, and Kevin Jonas.
“CoinFlip’s mission has always been to ensure that residents of states with no financial institutions have access to banking services. We strive to make cryptocurrency available to everyone who is interested in investing, even in rural American cities, ” – Polotsky said.
Coinflip recently reported 359% revenue growth in 2020. The company notes a growing interest in cryptocurrencies. Over the past year, the operator has increased the network from 441 crypto ATMs to 1.4 thousand.
In January 2021, Dogecoin showed an increase of 1115% in just three days. On January 27, it traded at $ 0.007, and on the 29th set an all-time high of $ 0.087.
What is Dogecoin?
Launched in 2013 as a comic digital asset, Dogecoin became popular thanks to the support of Elon Musk. He posted memes on Twitter several times with the altcoin symbol of the Japanese Shiba Inu dog.
In early February, the Tesla founder posted a series of tweets about Dogecoin that kicked up the token rate by almost 50%. On Wednesday, February 24, Musk again posted a picture of the dog on Twitter – the price of the coin increased by 20% per day. The billionaire also named Dogecoin as his favorite cryptocurrency and recently revealed that he bought an altcoin for his youngest son.
